The foundation of our work at brooks·reid studio is an understanding of the possibilities that exist when design is approached as a thoughtful exploration into the "what if" not simply the "what is". With years spent developing ideas into realities in the forms of commodities, the built form, printed and digital media, and theatrical performances, we have challenged perceptions by digging deeper and delivering more than the status quo.
Our designs suggest what can be when both question and possible answers are given room to grow. As designers we rethink space, materials, and identities, while engaging our personal passions in the process. We acknowledge that we are agents of change and have the ability to affect the world around us in very influential ways.
We believe that in addition to design creativity, a designer must be measured by an ability to balance the goals of the project with its practical, economic and social responsibilities. Every design challenge is individual. No design solution is assumed to be "one-size fits all". In every project, the set of questions has its own unique set of possible solutions.
We take great pride in our work knowing that we do not have a signature style - the hallmark of each and every project is that it is a true representation of our Clients' wants, needs and lifestyle, with an unparalleled attention to detail.
We believe very strongly in our role as "educators", involving our Clients in as much information and detail as they would like so they can make informed decisions and understand their importance in the design process.
We also believe that we have a responsibility to the community in which we live & work and are actively involved in charity projects and fundraisers, including the sponsorship of an annual fundraising event to benefit the Houston Food Bank.
