I believe that a room, when complete, should not only be attractive, but functional and exciting. I am careful to include objects that are meaningful to the client, and I purposely try to use complimentary, rather than matching, pieces that create an unexpected visual blend of colors, textures, and interest. Details make an ordinary room into an extraordinary one. No two jobs are ever the same. Therefore, I believe that it is necessary to be a good listener, to be versatile, to be well-informed on the latest items available in the market, and to always be truthful to the client. This way, I can help them not to make mistakes, but guide them to achieve the end result that they want and need. I am good with space planning, as in creating a floor plan for a room that has never worked for the client, or maybe a new closet could be made out of wasted space. If a bathroom needs to be remodeled to make it handi-cap accessible, I can re-design the bath to make it accessible. I design all types of window treatments, also, from simple valances to the most elaborate layered treatments, and I have the best work room in town to make them for me. I do excellent custom upholstery and reupholstery at equally excellent prices! I have thousands of fabric samples, trims, and wall covering samples, along with carpet samples. I design lots of custom bedding and pillows. I have outstanding sources for area rugs, too. Since I am an independent interior designer, I am not "locked" into a certain retail store's limitations. I am able to order anything you want from any manufacturer you want, etc. I also have a phenomenal color sense, and I HATE a "near miss"!! I believe that colors should flow throughout your home, but the manner in which they are used is changed, so that each room is a blend, but not a copy!Listing active for 194 days.
