I have had 40+ years of experience of interior designing and consulting people on color and style. I design to scale such things as floorplans of furniture layouts, window treatments, kitchen cabinetry, designs for floors and walls, furniture, special ceilings and many other types of design.
My credentials as a designer start early in life with 10 years of private art lessons with the famous Texas artist, Olin Travis. He taught me such things as color, dynamic symmetry, spatial recongition, measurements with the eye, and much more that gave me a firm foundation for my interior design field. I graduated from SMU with a degree in Interior Design in 1966 and worked for 4 years under the direction of the international designer, Gerald Tomlin, ASID and then went on my own in 1975. The largest residence I have designed was 25,000 sq ft in Virginia and the largest office complex was 100,000 sq ft. I am currently writing an interior design book that I hope will help people be able to choose their right personal colors with the right style of furniture that they will enjoy for a lifetime.
