Building long term relationships with clients has always been the primary goal of my company, oftentimes working on vacation homes, children’s homes, offices, combining households after new marriages or editing furnishings to move into independent living facilities. The foundation of this relationship lies in open and honest communication; listening to the client’s needs, dreams and wants then interpreting them in both a creative and functional design. In short, I create solutions for spaces starting with the concept; provide drawings required for fabrication or construction; choose items such as fabric, furniture or custom made pieces; create a line item proposal of the cost of items selected; order, expedite and receive the items on contract; meet with workrooms, painters and contractors to execute the concept; and finally install the project. In addition, my company has been in the antique business in Nashville for 40 years, starting with my father’s antique and interior design firm. Importing furniture, accessories and art from England and France has given me an expertise in the area of importing and buying antiques. Oftentimes antique architectural elements are incorporated into new construction or renovations. I have experience in locating pieces through a network of contacts and collaborating with the contractor on their installation. My projects range from evaluating a house plan prior to construction to turn key installations.
